its been a long time and seems like just yesterday that i was regularly here… guess such is life… we all drift along the waves every now and then…and then time just passes by…
im not sure what i wanna write today… i guess that is how i feel..not sure about what i wanna say or think or do…does it happen with every one of you? when you are just … sorta there but not really there…
and then i cant deny that i dont feel so many ways all at once…. its like the maha platter of kebabs at some ruby Tuesday joint i went a long time ago…kebabs of all shapes and sizes and too many to finish…lol…
so then where were we? kebabs remind me that im pretty hungry since i dint get have breakfast today…got up late and rushed thru the chores to get to work in time… i guess ill eat in a bit…it all happens involuntarily…mechanised to perfection like clockwork…thats corporate culture for you!
so as i yet dont know about what i wanna say..i guess ive been able to touch upon a few things i feel or think at least… its sorta quiet in office last few days…as the boss is away, the mice will play…lol…
it’s getting to that time of the year when everyone is in festive mode…everyone is selling for less…and everyone wants to buy more than before…more traffic…more people on the streets…more life everywhere…its nice i guess…sometimes certain involuntary things are good i guess…
to each his own…what a wonderful line… it has been used over the ages and yet we arent tired of it … works like a charm in all cases…everyone usually gets the point fairly quickly on hearing this one- four word line …or is it just a phrase… that brings to mind freedom and democracy…to each his own…free will…liberty… all powerful words..big opportunities for the modern human being …yet not sure how much is really there…with all the invisible strings attached that we all are aware of…nothing comes without a price…wow..that is another famously used line… no free lunch…similar and effective….so intelligently thought out and presented with the right garnishing at every table on the face of this mother earth…we all agree…dont we?
i guess this drive thru my free time and cyber space is getting a little too long for us all so lets just end it on a fine note…that is how the cookie crumbles…C’est la vie:-)))
hey world,
opportunity is a very important part of our lives.
we keep waiting for it all our lives and when comes, we seldom expect it.
something like that happened to me on saturday…
a friends and neighbor who has been pursuing me for long made me an offer i cant refuse…
the process has begun…but it may take a while to materialize…
the important thing is that we are very clear about what we want to achieve…
hoping for it to work out…
Cheers!
till later,

Hey world,
An interesting thing happened today… we were in the middle of a story meeting about a new show we are developing… as we were through with the discussion with the top boss and all was agreed upon, we decided to take a break and then get back to discuss the characters…
all was going well and then my intelligent boss decided to prove his mettle… he dragged us into a needless argument regarding one of the characters. everyone besides him has a consensus on it and he simply refused to budge form his black and white world where everyone had to be at the extreme end of the spectrum…pitch black or spotless white…
we all refused to give up and kept holding our fort till he gave in…
basically the point he was trying to make was that every character should have a great motivation in their life or he is a useless… our point was that there are many such characters who are happy like they are and dont necessarily have a great plan for life…but that is what makes them interesting and complex characters to work with…especially when we are moving away from stereotyped characters..
what is your opinion???
Cheers till later…

Hey World,
its been a few weeks of a happiness for me and my colleagues at work…yes our dear boss was away on a much deserved holiday…
and now he is back…and the minute he stepped in, the air in the office became sickly…
wonder what he is composed of…just refuses to be reasonable at any stage… and it just becomes more and more difficult for anyone to work with him…
to begin with he has a lot of baggage of being a so called experienced hand and having been there done that… he is very adamant about his point of view and cant bear someone making a suggestion that does not endorse his own point, an attitude that only lead to frustration and stagnation in a creative process. to add to tha, he is abusive and disrespectful, has poor memory so conveniently forgets what he tells others… and finally is very insecure about everything and everybody…
just this weekend, he made us run around to send him some documents sent to his house… but when we sent them he very conveniently forget about them and on the monday morning he declared that he had not received any documents… then he wanted me print it promptly just then and there… so ridiculous i must say…
in my organisation they think i am the one who handles him best but after three and a half months and many conversations later… I can easily say that working with a person like this is a serious problem and can be a very painful experience…
Cheers!
hey world,
today was a big day for my team…we had to pitch to a channel with a show… all three of us- vats, sri and myslf are the creators and thus very passionate about it…in the end it went of well with me butting in at crucial points as vats narrated …sri was very quiet as the he is unwell with food poisoning…
it all boils down to selling…it seems the world is one big sales organization…and all of us are salespersons…selling to survive…make a living…find some occupation…satisfy our existential cravings…other desires…and then one fine day we die…and a whole lot of selling happens to ensure we get a good farewell… strange but true…where does it end???…like some one said:” how many miles must a man walk…before you can call him a man?…the answer my friend is blowing in the wind…the answer is blowing in the wind…”
a large part of our lives are spent fulfilling these needs and by the time we realize, life has gone by…the same holds true if one wants to own a house in a city like mumbai… the rates are so high and out of reach that a large section of -even the professionals- never end up being a home owner… if you do take the plunge…you must end up paying a hefty sum for the rest of your life… and in turn you are ensuring that you have a lot of stress constantly hounding your mind and life-stress to cough up an E.M.I. every month- regardless of what situation you are in, unwell, disaster-struck,alive or in coma…lol … and just imagine – at the end of your life, you are left with nothing but a house to show for all that you have been able to achieve in a life time…its so humiliating…so small to write home about…but that little pigeon hole is the greatest objective for a majority of us common people in this maximum city. and like it or not…im dreaming about it too…some day i want to have a little home for myself in this city where i dont have to worry about moving out at the end of 11 months and no one hounds me with increase in rents…but it may take some time friends…considering that no one really gives a loan to media professionals and one has not had a great amount of fortune coming till now…so may be i will /maybe i wont…”
till later…cheers!!!
